Back in December I shared my toddler friendly Hershey Kiss Rudolph Christmas cards with you guys, so I figured I’d share my Valentine’s Day cards too! These are a little less appropriate for the older aged toddlers but my son who is two is currently in a play group for one and two year olds, so I designed these with that age group in mind!
Although I have enjoyed helping my daughter pick out her birthday themes so far, it is even better having her tell me what type of party she would like to have so I can help maker her dreams come true! When she requested an Ariel, Little Mermaid party this year, I didn’t hesitate to run with it! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know my little girl has been obsessed with Ariel since early this year. I too, have been an Ariel fan since I was young and have to say I LOVED every minute of planning this party for her! To make decorating and finding items a little easier, I suggested to Miss Lace that we do a mermaid theme with a splash of Ariel (pun intended :)) and she agreed! Continue reading
I didn’t really have a theme in mind early on for my son’s first birthday party and was open to any ideas that crossed my path. I had originally thought about doing a cars theme, not the movie but just the whole concept of the vehicle because he LOVES wheels and toy cars but I talked myself out of it knowing he’d probably enjoy this theme when he got a bit older. I stumbled upon the dollar section at Target in early summer and it was full of camping decor items. I was instantly sold! They were so cute and the value for the items made it worth it, since I didn’t have to spend tons to get a bunch of stuff. My daughter has also been big on playing “camping” in our family room lately so I figured it would also be fun for her!
In late July we celebrated Miss Lace’s third birthday with our close families! I started bugging her a couple months earlier as to what she wanted her theme to be so I could watch out for decor items that matched. That way I didn’t have to panic and rush a couple weeks before the big day. She originally picked a cat theme and I was purrfectly okay with that! Continue reading
This year for my daughter’s 2nd birthday I decided to do a bunny theme. It seemed fitting as her favourite stuffy is a Jellycat bunny which she carries around with her everywhere she goes and is a MUST have item to cuddle when she falls sleep. I recently got her a smaller version of the same bunny so she now carries “big bunny” and “little bunny” around everywhere together. When I told her the theme for her birthday party was bunnies she immediately requested a change to a mermaid theme but I kindly explained to her that it was a little too late for that as mommy had already started to order the bunny decor. Gotta love the 2 year old personality that’s emerging! Here I thought birthday party requests wouldn’t start until next year… lol. Oh well, after a quick explanation and some convincing she was in agreement with a “bunny birthday”.
