Navy Floral Wrap Dress

Although we had already taken some family maternity session photos I also knew that I wanted to take a few photos of just Ems and I alone so I could remember the days it was just the two of us! As the due date approaches (I am eager to not be pregnant anymore haha) but mostly I am becoming more emotional about the changes that are soon going to occur around here once baby brother arrives.

I ordered this navy rose floral wrap dress from Pink Blush Maternity knowing it would be the PERFECT choice for a photo session. The predominant shades of blue in the dress – the dark navy background and powder blue flowers I felt represented baby boy’s pending arrival, while the touch of pink flowers represented my girlie girl Ems. It seemed like a perfect blend of my babes for fall photo attire!

I was worried being a wrap dress that it wouldn’t cover my upper half as modestly as I would like it to (as the girl’s have definitely grown!) but the dress actually has enough material that you can completely control how much you’re showing in that area by either pulling the wrap part down or up, which I love! It’s an incredibly comfortable dress, made of light, stretchy material so it breathes nicely (I am always so incredibly hot pregnant, but aren’t we all?!) and even though I am only 5’2″ the size small I ordered was perfect in length with a small heel. The dress is so stretchy that you could easily hike it up a bit around the waist to shorten it and it would stay put. I also wore the dress to a wedding shower last weekend and it was the perfect choice for that as well! I received A LOT of compliments on it. Pink Blush Maternity makes this style of dress in a ton of different floral patterns but the one I am wearing can be shopped here. I am in love with these photos and am so happy that we got a chance to squeeze in a quick session for just Ems and I before our due becomes a trio!
