I have always been a big fan of ALL holidays, including the hallmark kind. Having Ems to share in the excitement of the holidays has allowed me to take it to a whole new level. Since she is almost a year and a half she’s at the age where she is really starting to learn what everything is. I find that books are the best way to teach her about the holidays, as they provide her with the opportunity to learn the various words of items that are associated with the season. It also gives me the chance to ask her to point out the new items she’s learning on the pages while we read, which brings her (and mommy) so much joy!

Indigo Cozy Favourites for Christmas
Indigo is my go to place for stocking stuffer and Christmas gift ideas because they have such a range of fun items. From winter essentials like mitts, toques and scarves to fun decor items for the home, I can’t get enough of their store! I typically focus my posts on the little ones in our lives but figured today I would shift my focus to us mommas as we deserve some pampering too! And after all, ’tis the season to be pampered!
Baby Girl’s Baby Shower
Last Sunday my mother hosted Emsley’s baby shower at our place. It was wonderful to be able to have both of our families and a few close friends gather and celebrate the arrival of our sweet girl. As the guests arrived my little pumpkin cried her head off upstairs as mommy attempted to get dressed. The song “It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to” played in my head as I tried my best to calm her down. (Hard to take her seriously in her cute tutu dress). However, enter the boppy, aka soother and our girl was good to go!
