If you pay attention to my Instagram account you might notice that this little guy has popped up in Miss Lace’s bath time pictures many times. And if you pay extra close attention, you might also notice that I like to switch up the toys I have in certain rooms for Miss Lace. For example, her pink play kitchen is no longer on the main floor and is now in her bedroom, and her table and chairs have now replaced the play kitchen on the main floor. I find that when I take a toy that we have had around for a while to a new location, it brings a whole new life to it! And taking our little octopus bath time friend outside to the kiddie pool and water table did just that! When Ems recognized her purple friend from her usual bath time routine she was super excited to show him the ropes outside!

We got our Nuby Bath Time Toss Octopus when Miss Lace was around 18 months old and it was a hit both in the bath, and out of the bath from the start! (She spent the first few months carrying the octopus around the house with her!) The octopus floats around during bath time providing a little friend to hang out with and much entertainment. The three rings that it comes with are the perfect size; easy for little hands to hold and manipulate and come in different fun shapes and colours! I am all about working on the fine motor skills from a young age, so I loved the concept and complexity of this toy. It was perfect her when we first got it and it is still a preferred toy during bath time to play with. I love to watch her play change and grow as she develops. This weekend she gave the octopus a “bath” in her water table before putting on its “bracelets”. We literally just can’t get enough of this little guy!
