Family Fun Friday – Pineridge Hollow

img_4629This past weekend, the three of us we went out to Pineridge Hollow for the late morning and early afternoon. I only discovered this little gem in Manitoba a few years back and I feel like I’ve been missing out for so long! This summer I participated in a few of their Farmer’s Markets, selling the items I make over at August Lace Designs. While I was there I got the chance to experience Pineridge Hollow in a whole new way. My husband and I really enjoyed being a vendor at the markets, and each time we participated we talked about coming to visit on the other side of things, as a consumer.

This past Saturday (instead of our usual Friday as momma wasn’t feeling great on Friday), we did just that and headed out to Pineridge for a late breakfast. The drive for us is about 45 mins but is definitely worth it as you can easily spend a few hours out there! When we arrived it was fairly busy, so we had to wait about an hour for a table as we hadn’t made reservations ahead. They offered to text us when our table was ready which gave us the freedom to walk the grounds and the shop while we waited. The shop is attached to the restaurant area and literally has everything you could think of; from baby items, to women’s clothing to home decor and furniture! We definitely partook in it all, well mostly I did, buying myself a few pieces of jewelry and a home decor item. 🙂 I don’t know when the last time was that I went shopping, buying something for myself and not for Ems! (shocking, actually!!) We also walked the Farmer’s Market, picking up some local pumpkins for our front step. After we did that, our table was ready. The food was absolutely amazing! I had cinnamon bun french toast and my hubby had fried chicken and biscuits. And well, Ems got the best of both worlds. 😉 Although, the french toast was definitely her favourite! After we ate we checked out the animals they have, (even getting to feed them) and the overall beauty of the grounds! Check out this whimsical sign Ems is standing with! So adorable! It was such a great day and the perfect place to enjoy the fall weather! We seriously can’t wait to head back!
