Happy Birthday sweet girl. This past year you have brought your dad and I so much joy and excitement. You light up so many lives and it’s so wonderful to watch the love everyone has for you.

You have accomplished so many things this past year from sitting to rolling to crawling and now standing and cruising around furniture. You have yet to walk on your own but we know that’s coming soon. In the meantime you can hold our hands and motor anywhere you’d like. We are so very proud of you.

There are so many qualities we are seeing evolve in you. You are cautious when trying new things and always prefer that someone helps you. You are strong willed when you want to do something and will let us know (loudly) that you are unhappy if we don’t comply. You seek adventure and thrill and are happiest when being pushed high in the swing, thrown in the air by daddy, being spun in circles by mommy or running fast around the house when you’re in the safety of our hands. You love to be heard and are constantly “talking” up a storm. Hearing you learn a new word will never get old.

You are such a social girl and are always engaging others when we are out and about. You play up the crowd, waving and showing off your tricks. You make so many others happy by doing this and we are always so eager to watch them react so excitedly for you. May you always be a source of joy to others.

Your eyes light up when you see new things and there is nothing cuter than when you look at us to see our reaction to the new task you just accomplished. I will always share my excitement for you and will always be your number one cheerleader.

Finding your tickle spot these past few months and hearing you laugh uncontrollably is like music to my ears. You are so giggly and goofy and my favourite times are when you get extra giddy before bedtime in your bedroom. When your dad, I and you all play together on your rug at the end of the day it makes me feel so complete. There is nothing I cherish more than these moments together.

Thank you sweet girl for the most amazing year. As much as I am sad this year is over, I cannot wait to continue to watch you grow and learn.
