I didn’t really have a theme in mind early on for my son’s first birthday party and was open to any ideas that crossed my path. I had originally thought about doing a cars theme, not the movie but just the whole concept of the vehicle because he LOVES wheels and toy cars but I talked myself out of it knowing he’d probably enjoy this theme when he got a bit older. I stumbled upon the dollar section at Target in early summer and it was full of camping decor items. I was instantly sold! They were so cute and the value for the items made it worth it, since I didn’t have to spend tons to get a bunch of stuff. My daughter has also been big on playing “camping” in our family room lately so I figured it would also be fun for her!
12 months came and went on October 21 and I’m still in shock! October was a busy month for me planning this guy’s first birthday, going back to work and adjusting to new schedules for our family. Add in Halloween and my husband’s birthday at the end of the month and I don’t really know what happened. It’s all been a blur! I figured I better get this monthly update (and last one I might add) written before I completely forget what happened during month 11.
On September 21, baby brother turned 11 months old! The fact that we are almost at 12 months old already is blowing my mind. This last year has flown by and has been such an incredible experience as I’ve watched my two little ones interact together.
Baby brother turned ten months old on August 21. It was a busy season for us as we prepared for fall and the changes that come with summer ending and a new season beginning.
9 months in and 9 months out! Always feels so much faster once they are in the outside world compared to when they were hanging out in our bellies, doesn’t it? Continue reading
Our biggest milestone this past month was Everton crawling! Such a contrast to our previous life with big sis only as she crawled at 11.5 months old. We are quickly adjusting to having a baby roaming around and getting into things. Continue reading
This past month our biggest adventure was introducing solids to Everton. I’m feeling much more confident this time around and am letting him lead and experiment much more than I would have let his sister do at this age.
